- Gateways to music series ran on Tuesdays and featured musical guest performances, In this episode, Thomas Archer introduces the collaborative effort of the CBS and CBS studios in presenting this program on the Canadian voyageurs who were the first to explore several regions of Canada. He then narrates the stories behind several of this songs and introduces the performers. New horizons series ran on Wednesdays and featured American explorers. In this episode, a dramatization of the history of Turkey ranging from Suleiman the Magnificent to Mustafa Kemal Ataturk who overthrew the Sultanate and made the Ottoman Empire into the Turkey we know today
