New York City with a news summary: Formosa and Okinawa have been bombed by the United States of America ; China-based American planes bombed Nanking, seat of the Japanese government occupying China ; The Japanese forces in the Philippines have been split and the Allied Forces can now take on both enemy troops ; The East Prussian Offensive has begun and the Allied Forces are 210 miles from Berlin ; Western front is holding firm in Strasbourg -- Allied Headquarters in Paris: DeGaulle demands presence at meeting with the "Big 3" (Roosevelt, Churchill, Stalin) ; France is in an economic slump that's seriously affecting its people. Shortage of fuel and food which administration blames on the Allies -- Washington, D.C.: The "Big 3" (Roosevelt, Churchill, Stalin) are to meet soon for a preliminary peace conference ; Mrs. Perkins will remain secretary of labor, Henry Wallace, secretary of commerce, and Jesse Jones chairman of the Reconstruction Finance Corporation ; Inauguration day reflection -- London: The British are overjoyed with the Russian offensive. Churchill is confident about British policy about the Allied campaign in Greece ; British and American journalists were not allowed in Athens and news from there was censored ; Red Cross announces 4000 Greek hostages -- Western Front: with the First Army in Belgium: U.S. forces are advancing in Belgium -- Washington, D.C.: Argentina is a stumbling block to world-collaboration ; Mexico is becoming a power in the Southern hemisphere of the Americas ; Mexico supports the democratic nations against the Axis powers ; A Foreign Ministers' Conference will convene in February in Mexico City -- The Philippines: a wounded boy is helped by G.I.s.
