Third selective service lottery: The end portion of the selective service lottery coverage. WJAS, Pittsburgh news program: Summary of the third selective service lottery. News includes: Douglas MacArthur is sent to Australia to fight the Japanese, Senator Arthur H. Vandenberg supports repealing the 40-hour-week law, General Wainwright has beaten off a Japanese attack on Bataan, and a U. S. freighter has been sunk off the Atlantic coast. Bob Dixon personal recording: The Ollie O'Toole Quartet performance "Killarney." Following the performance there is a personal recording by Bob Dixon. He speaks to his Uncle Bill Lepper, among others and demonstrates to his friends how a transcription is made. As a demonstration, he records a very short segment of a Winston Churchill speech on station WCAE. A dance tune is played at the end
