- Summary
- The march of time: An official of the government of Malta reports about the continuous Axis bombs falling on that island. Lieutenant Commander Dudley W. Morton (of the submarine "Wahoo") is interviewed by Bernard Clayton and tells how he sank a Japanese destroyer and several Japanese merchant ships. A feature about eating horsemeat is presented, including an interview with the owners of "The Whirlaway Horsemeat Market Of New Jersey." Lucius Beebe gives his recipe for "Filet of Foal," a recipe for horsemeat. The last written words of Alexander Woollcott are read; Senator John Bankhead (of Alabama) speaks from Washington, D.C. about manpower needs for the armed forces and for agriculture. The beginning of "Your Esso reporter" is heard at the end of the program. Wendell Willkie speech. An analysis of the current tariff
