- The Security Council met at Flushing Meadows to attempt to answer the question whether Kashmir should become a part of India or Pakistan. Drainage of the swamps between Israel and Syria have been suspended. Various speeches are played about the Korea situation. Lester B. Pearson, Canada's Minister of External Affairs, makes a major address to the U.N. Brian Meredith reports from the Dutch section of the U.N. military forces in Korea. Eleanor Roosevelt is interviewed
