Summary
  • Arkansas traveler. Includes a hillbilly skit, a comedy routine with John Lanney, a naval turret gunner
  • March of time. Marshall Gregory Zuckoff's 1st Ukrainian Army has crossed the Carpathian mountains and is ready to invade Czechoslovakia to free it from Nazism. The Russian calvary has made it to the gateway to Ruthenia. Jan Masaryk, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Czechoslovakia, speaks about the coming invasion of Czechoslovakia and arrangements post victory. In a dramatization, a member of "The Screwball Escadrille", Lieutanant Lee Wilson of Marshalltown, Iowa, describes flying a "Piper Cub" into combat in Italy and shooting at the Germans with a .45 automatic. With Wilson is Staff Sargeant Bill Lord of Georgetown, Texas. A pilot named John C. McClure, pilot of a P47 Thunderbolt of the 8th Air Force, has written a farewell letter to his family. "A pilot flies forever if his heart is in the air." Two fighter "aces" speak from London. Captain Don Gentile is known as, "the one man air force" and Captain Robert S. Johnson, of Lawton, Oklahoma, are interviewed by Walter Walton. [Recording ends]
