Summary
March of time. Bernard Earl Montgomery claims that the end of the war is in sight. People all over the United States of America are getting excited for the armistice. Women are starting to change jobs now to more traditional jobs for women so they won't be left without a job once the soldiers come home and the women get laid off. Many people and cities around the United States are preparing for World War II victory parties; people with reservations at their favorite party locations and cities with restrictions on alcohol. Civilians are looking for more permanent jobs than war work. But the Allies are still 532 miles from Berlin and the United States is still more than 1400 miles from Tokyo. History of and achievements of the United States Naval Air Force. Admiral Chester Nimitz gives and update of the naval forces near Japan. He call for an unconditional surrender. A new musical production, Song of Norway, opened at the Imperial Theater in New York. Citizens ask what will happen with Germany or to Germany after the war. [Recording ends.]
