Summary
  • Joseph Davies. [Recording already in progress.] An address in Denver by Joseph Davies, the United States' former ambassador to Russia. There was no appeasing Hitler because his singular will was for war. He had great respect for Stalin, Litvinov and others and has admiration for the Soviet Union for defending the world against Hitler. He says but for the Soviet Union, Hitler would be over-running the Earth by now. He wants the United States and allies to not only win the war, but win the peace following the war. [Recording ends.]
  • Grape Nuts Flakes program. The program originates from the Quantico, Virginia Marine Base. Jack auditions to play a person from the south of the United States in the movie, "Casablanca."
