Summary
"This program shows how the traditional examination skills of inspection, palpation, percussion, and auscultation are applied to abdominal examination of infants and children. Methodical examination of the 'cold' abdomen is demonstrated, with examples of the common signs and explanation of their causes. Differences of technique to be used in the acute abdomen are also shown. The infant presents different challenges from those of the older child, and the approach to the infant is demonstrated together with the examination findings in common disorders such as pyloric stenosis, intussusception, and constipation."--Container
