Tales from far and near series ran on Thursdays. In this episode, an adaptation of a story by Lonzo Anderson. The Montgolfier brothers and how they come to invent the passenger-carrying hot air balloon. This living world series ran on Fridays and featured dramas and discussions of contemporary life. In this episode, a discussion on the president's recent suggestion that American youth undergo a year of military training. In order to understand the decision, an expert discusses military training and enlistment as it has developed since the Revolutionary war. Dramatizations of events are shared.
